Short Scale Electric Guitar for Beginners, 6-String

This beginner electric guitar is built for the moment a young player outgrows a mini and wants a real six-string. A 22.9 inch short scale and a slim paulownia body keep it comfortable for smaller frames, while six strings and 19 frets leave plenty of room to grow.

Should a beginner start on an electric or an acoustic guitar? Either can work. A short scale electric guitar like this one is quiet when unplugged, which suits apartments and late practice, and it needs an amp to be heard, so plan on pairing it with a small practice amp. Controls are one volume knob.

The neck and fingerboard are maple, finished with a white pickguard. Illustrated chord flashcards, picks, and a download code for the Loog Guitar app come in the box. It comes in black, red, green, pink, white, and yellow.

Perfect for: tween and teen birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, a first electric guitar, school band beginners, graduation gifts, and gifts for musicians.
